PAST EVENT: Plant Water Use Phenotyping Workshop
Join us for a comprehensive workshop on plant water use phenotyping, designed to introduce key concepts and tools for measuring plant water use. Learn about manual weight measurements, image-based techniques, and high-throughput systems like DiTech PlantArray and LiCor Li-6800. You'll also discover how to calculate important plant water use traits such as biomass, transpiration, and water use efficiency, as well as how to normalize data and analyze statistical significance between groups.
This workshop is ideal for students and professionals interested in plant phenotyping—no prior experience required! While data collection equipment training isn't included, rental options and training are available from the Phenotyping Core Facility for all equipment described.
Attendees will receive lecture materials, sample datasets, R code, and a certificate of participation.
